Project Goal
Project duration: approx. 4 months (GoLive 12/2020)
The aim of the project was to relaunch the corporate website with the open source system Neos CMS. The implementation focused on the mobile-first approach, as 80% of users access the website via smartphone.
The new website had to be multi-site (multi-domain) capable so that the two other fitness studio chains in the BestFit Group could be migrated to the existing Neos instance without any problems in the future, thus ensuring the highest possible synergy effects and efficient live operation.
The project was implemented as a so-called Minimum Viable Product (MVP) in order to go online in the shortest possible time and without unnecessary overhead. Following the launch, development of the website based on real user data and feedback is managed on an ongoing basis and in as targeted a manner as possible.
Requirements:
- Fast relaunch
- The new website must consistently take the "mobile-first approach" into account
- Multi-site capability must be guaranteed
- Future booking engines should be easy to implement
- Ease of use for both customers and editors
- Page layouts should be freely maintainable in parts
- Simple user management must be guaranteed
- The check-out and the form for trial training must be maintainable by the editorial team
- It must be possible for the editorial team to set up individual landing pages at any time
- The best possible search engine friendliness must be guaranteed
Solutions:
- Project was set up as an MVP to enable the fastest possible go-live with subsequent and continuous further development through a decoupled code base
- Basic multi-site architecture that allows different websites and landing pages to be operated flexibly on one instance
- Seamless integration of an optimized booking route, with which both a membership and a trial training can be booked online.
- Individually maintainable landing pages for all existing locations
- Display of the respective studio utilization in real time
- Individual content elements such as videos, Google Maps and much more for designing your own landing pages and promotional pages while ensuring compliance with corporate design guidelines
Our Solutions
How we supported jumpers
With TechDivision, we have found the right partner for our ambitious relaunch project. Neos already made an excellent impression during the first presentation and this is now confirmed in practice. The handling is self-explanatory, so we didn't need any separate administrator training and the flexibility that Neos now offers us is exactly what we wanted. Thank you very much for the work you have done so far and the pleasant and professional cooperation.
In 2005, the first fitness studio was opened in Rosenheim – at that time still under the name Clever Fit – where you could work out at a discounted price.
The Jumpers Fitness brand was founded in 2008 and three studios have already opened under this name. The industry and investors quickly became aware of the Jumpers concept and NORD Holding became an investor in 2013.
In the years that followed, the company expanded massively and now operates 36 studios, where almost 80,000 members train in more than 30,000 square meters of space.
In the fall of 2020, jumpers fitness merged with AI Fitness in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony, making it one of the largest providers in the premium discount gym sector with more than 250,000 members and more than 1,000 employees.
